This fall, Tri State Fire Training is proud to use our platform to support men’s health and bring attention to issues that hit especially close to home in the fire service. Occupational cancer remains one of the most serious threats facing firefighters, as repeated exposure to smoke, carcinogens, and other toxic substances can continue affecting us long after the fire is out. We also recognize the toll that stress, trauma, long hours, and the things we experience throughout our careers can have on mental health. Sometimes starting the conversation can be as simple as growing a mustache, checking in on the person across from you at the kitchen table, or reminding someone that asking for help is a sign of strength. We believe brotherhood goes beyond the fireground, and taking care of ourselves and each other is just as important as taking care of our communities. A portion of every purchase from our men’s health stickers and apparel will be donated to support men’s health initiatives because raising the standard means looking out for one another on and off the fireground.
Stickers are expected to arrive and will begin being packaged and shipped sometime after October 20th.
